Instructions

For Cowboy Barbie:

  • For the bell bottoms, using heat bond hem tape, iron together two rectangular pieces of pink felt. Repeat this with two more pieces of pink felt. On each, fold over one end to create a cuff wide enough for the elastic. Iron the seam shut leaving a space to feed the elastic through. Cut two pieces of elastic and feed through each seam and tie the ends together. Seal the seam cut with hem tape and an iron. Trim the other end of the felt to create a rounded bottom.
  • Cut a front and back V shape for the top of the bubblegum tank out of pink felt. Attach to the tank using adhesive hem tape.
  • Cut stars of various sizes from pink and white vinyl and stick to the felt portions of the tank and to the felt bell bottoms. Add a band of pink vinyl to a white cowboy hat.


For President Barbie:

  • Cut pink satin fabric into a long strip. Fold and seal edges using heat bonded hem tape. Fold sash in half and trim the bottom edge at an angle. Create seam by joining the two ends together using heat bonded hem tape.
  • Cut President letters from blue vinyl and iron onto the sash.


For Weird Barbie (Dress):

  • Cut shapes from blue, green, white, yellow, pink, navy vinyl. Stick them to the bubblegum recess dress and the right sleeve of the rash guard. Use a black sharpie to draw squiggles and hashtags onto the vinyl.
  • Cover a pair of cowboy boots with black and white faux snakeskin felt using adhesive sheets. Use a yellow highlighter to color the white part of the snakeskin.


For Weird Barbie (Pants):

  • Cut rectangles of different sizes from orange, green, pink, yellow and patterned felt. Attach to the bubblegum pink joggers using adhesive sheets.
  • Attach pieces of foil to the fuchsia puffer vest using adhesive sheets.
  • Pair with a pair of black boots.


For Rollerblading Barbie:

  • Cut a rectangle piece of pink craft foam and attach to a pink foam visor using hot glue.
  • Cut shapes from pink, blue, purple, yellow, and white vinyl. Stick these to the bubblegum swim top and bottoms as well as the pink visor.
  • Create four bands from yellow fabric or an old pair of socks. Cut four ovals from neon yellow craft foam and stick to the bands using adhesive sheets to create the knee pads and elbow pads.
  • Cover a pair of tennis shoes with neon yellow duct tape, replace the laces with pink cord or string.
  • Paint or cover with neon yellow duct two plastic rings. Cut a notch in each ring to create the hoop earrings.


For Alan:

  • Cut strips of red, yellow, pink, light blue, blue vinyl or felt and stick to the white short sleeve polo. Using two squares of adhesive hem tape or adhesive sheets, pin the collar open by stick them under each lapel.


For Cowboy Ken:

  • Cut a floral pattern out from white vinyl or white peel and stick felt and attach it to the black long sleeve polo. Using adhesive hem tape, attach pieces of white fringe to the front and back of the shirt and down the back of the sleeves.


For Dance Ken:

  • Lay the ivory zip hoodie flat on a hard surface. Using gold fabric, cut two pieces of fabric to cover each sleeve. Using heat bond hem tape, iron each of the gold sleeves' bottom seam. Then slip each gold sleeve over the sleeve of the ivory zip hoodie and attach to the hoodie using adhesive hem tape or adhesive sheets at the cuffs and at the top of each sleeve.
  • Cut two strips of gold fabric the length of the white PJ pant's outer seam, fold the edges of the fabric inward and stick adhesive hem tape down the full length of the strip. Stick to each outer seam of the PJ pant.
  • Cut a K shape from gold vinyl or gold fabric and stick to the front of the zip hoodie.


For Mojo Dojo Casa House Ken:

  • Using a white paint pen, draw lightning bolts on a black bandana.
  • Cut four pieces of white craft foam for the oversized high top backs and tongues. Attach to a pair of white shoes with adhesive hem tape. Cut stripes from black vinyl and stick to the sides of each shoe.
  • Using gold chain, attach to a black fanny pack using two safety pins. Cut the Ken logo from thick white craft foam. Hot glue a safety pin the the back of the logo and pin to the front of the fanny pack – ours is from our friends at STATE Bags.
  • Pair with a pair of black cat eye sunglasses, silver chain, and the oat teddy fleece hoodie to complete the look.
