Instructions
For the fin and tail:
- Create a fin and a tail with blue felt.
- Fold felt in half and cut identical fin and tail shapes.
- Then hot glue the edge leaving one end open.
- Turn the fin and tail "inside out" and then fill with stuffing (if you don't have polyfil, use felt scraps, or torn up tissue or paper towels).
- Seal the open end with hot glue.
- Attach your tail to the back of the hoodie with safety pins. Attach the fins to the arms with safety pins.
For the belly:
- Cut a large light blue felt oval for the belly and affix to the front of the hoodie with fabric tape.
- Use a black marker to draw on vertical lines on the belly, which will make the costume read as a humpback whale.
For the head:
- Cut black felt circles for eyes.
- Attach eyes to the hood with fabric tape.
