Instructions
- For the wings: For the wings, fold a large rectangle of gray fabric in half. Cut out the moth wing shape.
- Add circles to wings: Spread the wings out flat. Cut 4 circles from black peel and stick felt. Peel the backing and stick these to each lobe of the wings.
- Create a moth like pattern on wings: Using brown, black, white, yellow and red fabric markers draw lines and hash marks onto the fabric. Try using a mix of long and short lines to create a moth like pattern. Switch back and forth between each wing to make sure they match.
- Attach fur to wings: Using hot glue attach fur to the top center of the wings.
- Create straps for wings: With the remaining gray fabric, cut 2 small thin strips and 2 wide strips of gray fabric. With these strips, create loops for the shoulder and wrist straps and attach them to the inside of the wings using hot glue.
- Create the antenna: For the antenna, cut 4 leaf shapes from gray fabric. Twist 2 pipe cleaners onto a headband so that they are sticking straight up. Sandwich leaf shapes onto the front and back of the pipe cleaner using hot glue. Fringe the edges of the antenna by cutting notches with scissors.
