Instructions
For the rainbow:
- Lay red felt over outfit to measure out how big to cut the first piece; you will want the rainbow to stick out about 2 inches on each side.
- Cut red felt to look like a sideways D. You will need to cut 4 of these the same size to use for the front and the back. Stuff polyfiber fill in between two of the red felt pieces & hot glue them together around the edges (or sew them if you know how to do that!) Let them completely dry before continuing to the next step.
- While you wait for them to dry, cut the rest of the rainbow pieces. Lay each color on top of the rainbow to measure so you know exactly where to cut. You’ll need to cut two of each color.
- Once you have two of each rainbow color, hot glue onto the red stuffed rainbow.
For the straps:
- Cut two strips of red felt and use your child to figure out a good length. Strips should hit right below the collar bone in the front and right below the shoulder on the back.
- Hot glue strips to the top sides of each rainbow, joining them together. Make sure to give enough room that your child’s head can fit in between the straps; but now too much room that the straps are falling off of your child’s shoulders.
For the sunshine:
- Using leftover yellow felt from the rainbow, fold a piece of about 8 inches in half.
- Cut triangles in the top of the felt, while it’s folded in half, giving it a sunshine look.
- Unfold the felt piece and place the headband on that middle crease.
- Fold that felt piece together again over headband and hot glue them together.
- Pair with the yellow babysuit!
