Primary Color Camp: How to Make Blueberry Lemonade
It's time for the best Color Camp post of the week: our favorite colorful recipe! Today, we're channeling one of our favorite Primary blues, blueberry, and sharing these easy steps for a delicious blueberry lemonade.
Ingredients
- 5 cups cold water
- 2 cups blueberries, fresh or thawed from frozen
- 6 lemons
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
Step 1: Blend: Start by blending together the fresh blueberries with 1 cup of water until it forms a smooth puree.
Step 2: Strain: Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the blueberry puree into a large pitcher.
Step 3: Mix Now it’s time to add the other ingredients into the pitcher. Pour in the remaining cold water, freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Give it a stir, then taste. At this point you can adjust the flavor to your liking by adding in more sugar, lemon juice or water.
Serve 4: Once the lemonade is chilled, pour into glasses over ice and serve with your favorite garnishes!
This recipe also works swap in different fruits for the blueberries, or different citrus for the lemon! Try different combinations, and have a taste test to pick your faves.
