Primary Color Camp: Coloring with Mixed Media
Spruce up the way you color!
Today at Color Camp, we're putting a spin on a classic activity: coloring! There are few things more exciting than opening up a fresh box of crayons and a crisp new coloring book — blank and ready for you to fill in with as many colors as your big, creative brain pleases. But now and again, we like to mix things up, and challenge ourselves to try new things.
For today's green art activity, find a blank page in your favorite coloring book, or download and print this free sheet here. Then, gather as many different mediums as you can find in green to use to fill in your blank sheet. We're talking anything and everything — from crayons and markers, to highlighters and colored pencils, paint, chalk, or paper scraps and glue to collage...truly anything you come across. Once you're done coloring your page, count up all the different shades of green that appear in your final product! While you're at it, count how many shades of Primary green are in your closet.
