Primary Color Camp: The Floor Is Lava
A quick and easy pick-me-up!
We're wrapping up Red Week at Primary Color Camp with a grab bag game that's very fun, and very quick. Are you ready to play...
THE! FLOOR! IS! LAVA!
The beauty of this game is in its spontaneity — you don't need any materials, or even a plan. Here's how to play:
Step 1: Walk into a room and very casually shout, "THE FLOOR IS LAVA!"
Step 2: Everyone in the room has just 5 seconds to get their feet off the ground. Anyone who still has their feet on the ground after 5 seconds, even the tiniest bit, loses. Totally optional, but if you're looking to raise the stakes, you could attach some kind of chore to losing...
Step 3: After that 5 seconds is up, life resumes. But make sure to be on alert in case someone shouts at any point, "The floor is lava!" again!
It might be fun for you and your crew to see how it feels to play in different rooms or at different times of day, or keep a running tally of who consistently escapes (or falls into) the lava. Enjoy!
