• The origin of gift giving in the Christian tradition is the actual St Nicholas, the 4th century Christian Bishop of Myra (modern day Turkey). He secretly gifted a poor family 9 gold coins so their daughters could marry and was known for his generosity to all in need. We celebrate with our gift giving on his feast day, December 6th. Kids all around the world clean their shoes and leave them out for St Nicholas to fill with goodies. -Tanya
• We started doing appetizers for dinner (everyone brings 1-2 or a dessert) and I really like that. Takes the load off and it’s really fun to try all of the different foods. -Kaylee M.
