- My family makes tamales on Christmas Eve! Its been a generations long tradition. Now, my kids get excited to help as well. We hope this goes on for generations to come. ❤️ - Julie C.
- Just because someone doesn't "look the part" doesn't mean they don't participate. -Jacqulyn J.
- The Yule log is dusted each year in the ashes of last year's log along with spices and other scents. -Anonymous
- Sensory friendly holidays can mean not attending the big group function. -Anonymous
- Hanukkah is NOT Jewish Xmas. Also it happens at a different time every year. -Heidi H.
- That you don't have to go broke between Oct-Jan shrug emoji every year. -Anonymous
- The origin of gift giving in the Christian tradition is the actual St Nicholas, the 4th century Christian Bishop of Myra (modern day Turkey). He secretly gifted a poor family 9 gold coins so their daughters could marry and was known for his generosity to all in need. We celebrate with our gift giving on his feast day, December 6th. Kids all around the world clean their shoes and leave them out for St Nicholas to fill with goodies. -Tanya
- We started doing appetizers for dinner (everyone brings 1-2 or a dessert) and I really like that. Takes the load off and it’s really fun to try all of the different foods. -Kaylee M.
