Instructions
Every parent can get behind Ohana - especially because you can remind your kiddos of it if they start to bicker! This Lilo & Stitch DIY will have them so jazzed about Ohana, they'll be the ones reminding you of its meaning! Sit back and enjoy the view as your little Lilo and Stitch look out for each other and adventure the night away together, singing Elvis Presley classics all the way home.
Lilo's headband
- Cut a length of green felt that fits around the circumference of the head.
- Cut enough green felt leaves to cover the green strip for the headband to make it full.
- Pinch the end of the leaf to give it more shape, and glue onto the headband.
- Glue two lengths of green ribbon to the ends of the headband to tie around the head.
Lilo's wristbands
- Cut two lengths of elastic to fit around the wrists and glue into a band.
- Cut several green felt leaves and pinch the bottom and glue to the band until they look nice and full.
Stitch's ears
- Wrap a couple pipe cleaners or wire onto a headband and bend into long ovals to make the ear supports.
- Cut two long ears from light blue felt, and two pink oval ears.
- Sandwich one blue and one pink felt over the wire support and hot glue together.
Stitch's belly
- Cut a big light blue felt oval and attach it to the t-shirt with double sided fabric tape.
Stitch's tail
- Make a pom pom tail by wrapping yarn around a piece of cardboard roughy the width you'd like the tail to be.
- Wrap white yarn in the middle, and light blue yarn on the sides.
- When you have a good amount of yarn wrapped (the more yarn, the fuller the tail), carefully slide the loop off the cardboard and wrap a piece of yarn around the center and tie in a tight knot. This will be the center of the pom pom.
- Cut the top and bottom loops and fluff the yarn.
- Trim off excess ends until you have round pom pom. Safety pin the tail to the back of the bottoms.
