Spiderman (Miles Morales)
For the mask:
- Cut an oval from black felt that fits over the face.
- Cut two teardrop eye pieces from red felt and cut two smaller teardrops from white felt.
- Hot glue together onto the mask.
- Cut out eye openings and use silver fabric paint to make the spiderweb lines onto the mask.
- Cut and glue an elastic band to the sides of the mask.
For the top:
- Cut a sheet of black felt to fit onto the top and cut and glue a pointed panel for the bottom edge.
- Draw the spider logo onto red felt and cut out.
- Hot glue it to the black felt base and use silver fabric paint to make the spiderweb lines onto the black felt.
- Attach this piece to the top with fabric tape.
For the upper arm panels:
- Cut two matching panels for the upper arms.
- Attach to the upper sleeves and top with fabric tape.
For the wrist and leg panels:
- Cut rectangles of black felt to fit over the wrists and legs.
- Use silver fabric paint to make the spiderweb lines onto the panels.
- Once dry, wrap around the wrists and legs and attach with fabric tape.
Peni Parker
For the vest:
- Cut two long skinny strips of red felt and hot glue the ends together into a “V” shape.
- Attach to the top with double sided fabric tape.
For the knee high stripes:
- Cut two long and wide strips of black felt that fits around the calf.
- Cut and hot glue two stripes of red felt along the top and bottom edge of the black strip.
- Attach these stripes around the calf near the top of the socks with double sided fabric tape.
For the backpack:
- Cut the top two corners of 2 sheets of green felt to be rounded.
- Cut wide strips of felt for the sides and bottom of the backpack and hot glue to the 2 larger panels.
- Cut green felt straps for the backpack and hot glue to the top and bottom edges of the back of the backpack.
- Make the cat face backpack details from yellow, black, and red felt and hot glue onto the front of the pack.
- Cut a white rectangle for the front pocket and hot glue on.
Spider Gwen
For the hood:
- Trace an existing hood onto white felt and cut out 2 matching panels. If you don’t have a hood to trace, cut two rectangles of white felt that’s several inches taller and wider than the wearer’s head. Spider-Gwen’s hood is loose, so feel free to make it a larger hood.
- Cut the top right corner to be curved - this will be the back of the hood.
- Hot glue the panels together along the top, the curve, and right side back edge.
- Turn the hood inside out so that the seam is on the inside. Repeat these steps to make the pink inner lining of the hood and hot glue together.
- Use silver fabric paint to make the spiderweb lines onto the pink inner lining.
- Once dry, attach the base of the hood to the top with safety pins or fabric tape.
For the mask:
- Cut out an oval from white craft foam that fits over the wearer’s face.
- Use black and pink markers to draw the eyes onto the mask.
- Mark and cut out eye openings.
- Hot glue an elastic band to the mask to wear around the head.
For the arms:
- Cut two long skinny diamonds from pink felt and make the spiderweb design onto it with silver paint.
- Attach to the inner arms of the top with fabric tape.
For the torso:
- Cut a panel of black felt with points like Spider-Gwen’s costume and attach to the top with fabric tape.
Spider Ham
For a red felt covering for the hood:
- Flatten out the hood of the hoodie and trace the hood shape onto a sheet of red felt and cut out, leaving an extra ½” along the top and back edge of the hood for the seam allowance.
- Trace and cut out another matching hood panel from red felt.
- Hot glue the top and back edges together and turn inside out.
- You now have a cover for the hood.
For the head eyes:
- Cut two ovals from black felt and two smaller felt ovals that fit on top for the eyes and glue together.
- Use a fine tipped black fabric squeeze paint to make the spiderweb design onto the red felt hood.
- Once dry, glue the eyes onto the hood.
For the snout:
- Cut an oval from red felt and use a fine tipped black fabric squeeze paint to make the spiderweb design onto the snout.
- Cut two small black ovals and two smaller white ovals for the nostrils and glue together.
- Glue the nostrils onto the snout once the paint is dry and glue onto the front edge of the red hood.
For the ears:
- Cut two sets of pointy ears from red felt and sandwich a pipe cleaner between each and glue together.
- Bend the ears to flop like Spider-Ham’s and glue to the top of the red hood.
- Attach the red hood over the blue hoodie hood with double sided fabric tape.
For the chest, sleeves, and legs:
- Cut red felt strips for the sleeves, a rectangle with wings on the bottom edge for the chest, and two rectangles for the legs.
- Use a fine tipped black fabric squeeze paint to make the spiderweb design and spider onto felt.
- Once dry, attach to the hoodie and bottoms with double sided fabric tape.
Spider Noir
For the hat:
- Cut a large oval from craft foam for the brim of the hat and cut an oval from the center for the head opening.
- Cut a long strip of foam for the walls of the hat and glue around the head opening.
- Use the head opening oval cutout for the top of the hat and hot glue to the top.
- Pinch and glue the front top edge together to give the hat more shape.
- Cut a long thin strip of black foam and glue around the base of the hat.
For the mask:
- Cut an oval that fits over the face from black craft foam.
- Cut two teardrop shaped eyes from white foam and glue to the front of the mask.
- Cut out eye openings and glue an elastic band to the mask to wear around the head.
- Use a fine tipped black squeeze paint to make the spiderweb design onto the mask.
